About cookies

These guidelines for cookies (“guidelines”) apply to Annexin Pharmaceuticals AB’s use of cookies on Annexin Pharmaceuticals AB’s websites (“the websites”). The guidelines describe the cookies used on the websites, the purpose of the cookies, and their lifespan (i.e., how long each cookie is stored) and how to block or delete cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files containing information, which are stored on your computer (or other internet-activated units such as smartphones or tablets), when you visit a website. A cookie usually contains the name of the website from which the cookie originates, the lifespan of the cookie (i.e., how long it will be stored on your device) and a value, which is usually a randomly generated, unique number.

Cookies are used to make websites function more effectively, but also to provide the owner of a website with certain information. Cookies make it possible to differentiate different users from each other, which in turn can give each user a more tailor-made and positive experience of the website.

What do Annexin Pharmaceuticals AB use cookies for?

Annexin Pharmaceuticals AB use the cookies that are necessary in order for the websites to function properly, and which enable you to be able navigate on a website and use its functions. Absolutely essential cookies need not be accepted since they are necessary for us to be able to manage the services you request.

The websites also use cookies that make it possible to calculate the number of users visiting a website and traffic it receives, to improve your experience, and to individualize future visits by remembering your user preferences. Cookies are also used to compile anonymous, aggregated statistics in order to understand how users use the websites and which help us improve their structure and content.

Cookies used

There are three kinds of cookies on the websites:

  • Permanent cookies, i.e., cookies that save a file for a longer period on your computer Permanent cookies are used, for example, for functions that describe which information is new since you last visited the website in question. The length of time cookies remain on your device depends on the lifetime of the specific cookie and the browser settings.
  • Session-cookies, for example, are cookies which are temporarily stored in your computer’s memory while you visit a website, and when browsing a page. A function of session cookies can be to remember your language preferences when visiting a site. When you leave a website, the session-cookies are deleted.
  • Third-party cookies are cookies that belong to domains other than those shown in the address field. Third-party cookies make it possible to save the user’s browsing history.

How to block and/or delete cookies

Most browsers have a default setting that accepts the use of cookies. You can change these settings so that you, as the user, receive a warning as soon as a cookie is sent to your computer, or you can create a rule that blocks cookies. You can also choose to delete all cookies stored on your computer.

Instructions for removing stored cookies or other settings for cookies are listed in the browser settings panel, or in the Help menu, with which most browsers are equipped.. If you use different devices to access the websites (e.g., your PC, smartphone, tablet etc.), you must ensure that the browser on each device is adjusted according to your needs in respect of cookies.

Please note that if you choose not to allow storage of cookies, you may not be able to use all elements of the websites. Some elements of the websites may also not function correctly.
